Debbie and I decided to do a little fishing on the evening of Jan 2nd. We had been busy with Christmas, family stuff, been sick, etc...and were getting the "shakes" from being unfished for so long :-) First, we headed over to Moccasin Creek to fish a little, and see what was biting. We were just using micro rigs, 4lb test, and beetle spins with a Smokey Shad grub.
First thing, Debbie picked up a bass. He was full of energy, and was a nice little fight on the micro rig. We've caught a lot of bass from that location, and they're always a lot of fun.
We were wondering if the crappie were hitting yet, and sure enough, we found a few. Nothing big, but still fun to catch!
Another crappie...
