This is a simple modification for one of those little cheapie Walmart Anchor Lights. I never liked that I had to use a screwdriver to loosen the screw, in order to fold the light forward to put the cover on the boat. In this simple mod I used a long self tapping stainless steel screw and a small compression spring. The spring keeps the movable part pressed against the teeth or notches in the mounting base. You just grab hold of the light, and move it where you want. The resulting ratchet action holds it in place nicely in any position.
