Houseboat build, pg46...

The couch is finally finished! Debbie and I cut the foam for the seat cushions and backs, and Donna covered them very professionally! In one of the photos you can see the bottom opened to show the additional storage. There's also a pair of large drawers built-in to the base of the couch. We're going to mount a plug-in base into the floor in front of the couch for a post that will support a table top, on demand. When not in use, the table top will store away in the back of the couch nearest to the stove. We tried to use every square inch of space in the boat! Here's a few photos...

This first photos is of the top area of the back cushions. We designed those to fit snugly under both of the window ledges. Note the decorations on the wall above the back cushions.

Above is a photo of the couch center section lifted up and over on it's hinge, exposing the storage area below...

Debbie was the first person to "lounge" on our newly completed couch. You can see the "pocket" I designed into the couch back, between it and the cook top area to store the table top when not in use.

Above is a photo of the couch center section with no cushion to show the finger hole used for lifting the seat bottom up and over on it's hinge.
