Beaver Dam @ Hwy 50

Beaver Dam is part of Falls Lake, between Durham and Wake Forest. The Beaverdam waters are electric or paddle only, no gas motors. There's a great landing area on Hwy 50, near hwy 98. It's maintained by the NC Parks Department. This is a HUGE body of water, with lots of places to explore. Remember...with bodies of water this large, the fish are really spread out and you have to spend more time learning about the area to have good catches. As a point of reference, this landing is about 3 miles by water to the Old Weaver Trail bridge in one direction, and about 1-1/2 miles to the Fales Lake barrier in the other direction. Lots of water!
