Moccasin Creek

This is a local place we love to fish. It's a spot on Moccasin Creek, where hwy 97 crosses over. This is just east of Zebulon, near the hwy 39 intersection. The bridge has a lot of riprap on either side, and is easy to climb down to the creek. We've caught Chain Pickerel (Jack, as some call it here), Bass, Bluegill, and Crappie. It flows between Lake Bunn and Tippett's Mill (Taylors Millpond), and is a lot of fun to fish at! Like all spots, the bite varies a lot with temp, time of day, water level, etc. Here's a few pics from trips to Moccasin Creek...
