Norris Creek, 12-29-19

Debbie had to run over to one of her friends' after church today, just before a bit of rain set in. I hopped in the truck and shot over to Norris Creek, not far from my house. I just fished from the bridge, didn't bother to walk down the rip-rap. Using a little Walmart rattle trap, this is what I caught before the rain hit...

The rattle trap wasn't much smaller than the fish...he had huge aspirations, though!

Nice little spotted bass from the cold creek water...

This lil girl had a fat belly!

Secret Pond, 12-28-19

On 12-28-19, Debbie and I hitched up the Jon Boat, and headed to a private spot we call the "Secret Pond". Debbie hit a beautiful bass using a rattle trap on braid with her Zebco Bullet. Here's a few pics...

Hidden Pond, 12-27-19

Debbie and I hitched up the Jon boat, and headed over to the "Hidden Pond". This is a great little private farm pond owned by a friend. I was playing with different baits, but Debbie focused on a 5" Yum Dinger rigged weightless. Here's a few pics...

Moccasin Creek, 12-26-19

After doing a little fishing up on 231, Debbie and I decided to head by Moccasin Creek on the way home. I got skunked, but Debbie managed these with her Micro rod and a crappie dive bait...

231, 12-26-19

Debbie and I headed out to do a little "river hopping" the day after Christmas. First, we stopped down at the bridge on hwy 231 that crosses over Little River. Here's a few pics...

Snagged this guy on a Beetle Spin with a Shadpole grub, using my micro rig.

Debbie's been having fun with a little crappie dive bait on her Micro rig. Seems to catch everything :-)

We always enjoy this spot, and have caught a lot of fish here from time to time!

Boddie Millpond, 12/16/19

Debbie and I got the Jon boat out today and headed over to Boddie Millpond for a while. We've not been on the water in about 2 months, life had been in the way a lot. We were just plunking around a little to test out the trolling motor, get in the water a bit, and do a little fishing. We had a couple of good hits... Debbie had a big smash on a rattletrap, I had one on a 6" senko for a bit and lost him. Was a bit of fun, no matter. Here's a few videos Debbie took while we were riding on the millpond a bit. All of the cover has died back, so we're learning the shallows without the top cover to help give it away. Got to get a depth finder on the Jon boat!
