Houseboat build, pg54...

Wow, we're at "walk-thru time", where Deb and I did a quick look at everything to see what I may have forgotten to do, totally overlooked, or maybe something that needed to be changed. This is a batch of photos, sort of an overview of the build. Other than a little plumbing let, everything looks to be pretty much finished. Kinda surprises me that this has only spanned just under 5 months, from start to now. Here's some of the photos from this effort...

Houseboat build, pg55...

It's now time to build the front patio area! We already had cut some of the parts of this, test fitted them, and put them aside.  The rest of the patio railing was fairly simple, and we didn't want them getting in the way during construction, while we were constantly in and out of the front doors. We used treated 4x4 porch posts, cut to 2' in length, and lagged to the trex boards of the patio. The black grid is actually powder coated grid wall panels we bought from the office supply warehouse in our area. I used a carbide cutoff saw to cut them to the size needed. The black finish sorta becomes invisible, and they will be draped with 1" diameter dock rope for a nautical effect. Here's a few pics of this part of the project...

Houseboat build, pg53...

The front wall is what I call this area,  it's the bow end of the boat. This is where we enter and exit the houseboat. Debbie did a lot of work up here, from the artwork to make it look like shiplap, to the decorations and full length blinds. Here's a few pics to highlight this area...

Houseboat build, pg52...

The kitchen stove area is now completed and decorated. A lot has happened since Aug 11 of 2022, I can't event believe it myself, that this project is almost finished. Electrical and appliance stuff is all finished, Refrigerator & Microwave built-in, gas cook top flush mounted, LED lighting, and more.  Here's a few pics of the kitchen stove area...
