We had a little space left at the head of the bed, as intended in the design for a headboard. As a last build task, I fabricated a small headboard having two shelves with ledges. This would be great for a space to put the phones on charge (I built a receptacle into this area) at night, maybe a small digital clock, and whatever other doo-dads find their way in there. Debbie painted it to match the colos she used in the bedroom. Here's a few pics...
