Every time we take out the Jon Boat, it never fails that the battery clamps for the trolling motor get tangled up in the anchor rope or hung up under the seat, while pulling the wiring to and from the battery. I poked around in the shop and found a set of Anderson SB50 50 amp rated DC power quick connectors, and decided to put them to use. I already use a pin to quickly install or remove the trolling motor from the mount, leaving the transom mount on the boat all the time. Now, with the power harness permanently installed, I only have to plug the motor in, once it's snapped into the mount. A pair of Anderson SB50 50 amp connectors go for around $5 on ebay or Amazon.
