Wiggins Mill is a cool place to fish in the Wilson area, located near the intersection of Forest Hills road and Hwy 301. The city of Wilson used to rent boats and run a little tackle shop and
grill near the ramp. This year, however, it looks as if the city has
abandoned that operation and it's a bit grown up. There's very little room for bank fishing, but it's great for electric or paddle setups (no gas allowed). This mill pond is pretty long and has tons all sorts of structure to fish in and around. Here's a few pics from us fishing this mill pond from our little Jon Boat...
Caught this bass in the middle of a bunch of floating moss... 4lb 7oz
Debbie caught a 4lb 3oz Catfish on her 10' Carbon Fiber crappie pole. A heck of a fight!
She caught this on a micro rod setup with a beetle spin and 4lb mono!
