Houseboat build, pg48...

Here's a few shots of the bedroom. The bed top (mattress) is about to be installed. The rest of the room is finished with decorations in place. The top of the bed structure is hinged and will easily lift up. This allows room for extra storage, and houses the fresh water tank, water pump, and hot water heater. Once the plumbing is finished and has been tested, the mattress will be installed, and we'll be ready to sleep in the house! The bed is framed for a queen size mattress, so Debbie and I should have plenty of room. Here's a few pics...

Above is looking at the port side of the boat. You can see the curtains Debbie fitted to the transom window, one of the LED indirect lights, light switch for the bedroom, and the archway leading to the rest of the house.

Above is looking at the starboard side of the boat. You can see the curtains Debbie fitted to the transom window, the receptacle that will ultimately inside of the headboard's cubby, and the archway leading to the rest of the house.

The 3 photos above show the bedroom TV, mounted on an articulating arm for variable position of the TV. The whole house is internally wired for TV, ham radio, and vhf marine radio. There are 6 of the indirect LED lights around the bedroom. You can also better see the curtains Debbie and Donna made for the bedroom.

The above two photos show the large drawer I built into the lower portion of the bed. This drawer is 34" long, 22" wide, and about 12" tall. It's a big drawer! It now has a pair of handles on it that match the upper cabinet handles.

The above photo shows the upper bed structure with the top closed. It is designed to support a queen size mattress and have a little spare room around it to allow the top to be lifted for access for maintenance or additional storage.

This shot is from the bedroom, looking into the front starboard side. Here's a piece of art installed that Debbie located for the houseboat.

This pic shows the inside portion of the heat pump installed. This unit is a 17 seer system, and is VERY quiet when in operation.
