Airfield, 4/28/19

We were doing a bit of maintenance at this private pond we have access to, we call "The Airfield". Trimming a bunch of weeds, cutting some access openings, working on a jon boat launch, and repairing and entrance gate. We couldn't help but fish a little while we were there. Debbie was throwing a 5" Yum Dinger, I was playing with a Whopper Plopper on top water. They're just not quite ready for top water yet, an occasional slap here and there. I managed one, to Debbie's 5 on the first stop. Debbie 5, Dave 1. I ran the battery down on the string trimmer, so we fished a bit and went to check on some friends' animals while they were away on vacation. Here's a few pics...

When we returned from our friends' house, the battery was charged on the weed trimmer, and we decided to go back and get a little more work done (and fish up to dark). I tried the fly rod a bit, but no takers.  More top water, but no takers. Switched back to a worm, and it was on. Debbie 5, Dave 3. Here's pics from the later visit this evening...
