Houseboat chores, 3/26/25

We came to the houseboat today, to do a bit of work. I've been having an issue with the toilet supply line, and modified the seal to allow for more thread capture by the supply line. Deb washed all the bed linens, and brought them back to put those back on. I replaced the little cheapie blind on the front door with a pull-down shade. I still have a little bit of work to do on the trim around it. Boy, it's windy and cold on the lake, today!

Kerr Lake, 3/20-23/25

Spent a little time at the houseboat, doing a bit more maintenance. Had a huge windstorm on the night of the 20th! Here's a few pics and a vid...

Brrrr...it was cold on the morning after the big windstorm!

The steel panel on our front porch got bent when Debbie opened the door and the wind jerked it outta her hand. I got that straightened out, good as new!

Wind was blowing the blue cart all around. It was howling!

Very smooth on the morning of the 22nd!

Going down to refill the water tank...

This guy didn't understand what a NO WAKE ZONE is.

I replaced the pontoon bilge lines and the rear dock lines.

Installed tint on the rh window. Gotta order more and finish.

Port rear dock lines replaced.

Lines replaced to the pontoon fenders.

More doc lines replaced...

Tint installed on front door. This door faces west, and the setting sun is rough through here.

Tint installed on lh window. More coming...

Enjoying Sunday eve on the houseboat.

Kerr Lake, 3/14/25

Got a bit more done at the houseboat, today. Got the Martin house back up, rehung the rebuilt front door sign, and worked on the heat pump a bit.

Gotta replace the pontoon bilge pump lines. These have become brittle from U.V.

Got the water transfer tank out on the dock finger.

Captain's wheel sign repaired and back on the house.

Martin house back up and they're happy!

Kerr Lake, March 8-9 2025

We came up to the houseboat on March 8th to do a bit of maintenance, fill the on-board water tanks, etc. Here's a few vids and pics..

Kinda calm early...

Got a bit windy later...

I have a 55 gal tank I put on the pontoon boat, and fill it from the hydrant near A dock. Then, we drive over and fill the on-board freshwater tank in the houseboat. This is how we keep the houseboat going during the "off" months when water is "off" on the docks.

Neighbor with a new engine. Looking good!

Pumping water into the houseboat storage tank.

I run a hose from the pontoon tank to the houseboat.

Here's the tank, filled with fresh water, pumping to the houseboat.

Pump power from the pontoon console.

Breakfast!
