Debbie and I took the pontoon boat out on the lake, just up to the mouth of the cove, for a picnic dinner. A couple of good friends were on their boat about 8 miles up the lake, and texted a bunch of pics of what they were catching.
About an hour before sunset, we realized the whole area had become loaded with bait fish balls that were literally "boiling" the lake all around us. We went back to the dock, grabbed a couple of rods and some tackle, and returned to the mouth of the cove. After a few minutes, we saw one area where fish were literally leaping out of the water while feeding. I fired up the pontoon and ran to it, and Debbie was throwing top water baits into it. When we switched to a WhopperPlopper, it was "ON". Here's a couple of pics...
