Houseboat build, pg66...
This project comes to a close! We're in the marina, along side out pontoon boat, and have a functioning / floating apartment! Now comes the fun...just in time for spring fishing, summer swimming and fun. Thanks for following along. Here's a few pics of the final floating Tiny-Houseboat!

Houseboat build, pg65...
Here we are, at Steele Creek Marina, on Kerr Lake, near Henderson NC. The trip to transport the houseboat went well. Here's a few videos and photos of it being moved to the slip. We floated it off the trailer, pulled the pontoon boat along side and strapped to it, and drove it into the slip. It went very well, and lots of prayers were answered!

Houseboat build, pg64...
The days have finally come for preparation and transport to the marina.We built this in the back yard, so it had to be unblocked, leveling boards and blocks removed, and maneuvered out from behind the house. I had used the lawn tractor to put it in place, but with an additional 4000 lbs added to the trailer, I had to use my Ford Escape to get it out. That took a bit of work, but I finally got it out and beside the house. There, I dropped it so my dad could reconnect with his F-100 for transport. Here's a few pics of all these shenanigans to get it to the marina, some 80 miles away.
Above, you can see where I used my little SUV to get it moved out of the back yard and up between the shop and garage. Once in place, I reconnected the power to keep the heat pump operational.
The 2 pics above are the next morning. I was disconnecting my SUV and tying things down and preparing for transport.
The above 3 photos are of my dad and his F-100, pulling this beast out of our yard and heading on the way to the marina...
The above 8 photos are of the houseboat in transit. The total weight, including the trailer, is somewhere just over 5000 pounds. I didn't weigh it on the trip, but I kept up with the weight throughout the entire build. This part was a little nerve racking, worried about the house literally sitting in a hurricane for 2 hours, but all went well. We arrived at the marina with now problems at all!
