Deb and I got up about 6:30 and headed to the Airfield pond to do a little bank fishing. The water level is low... We caught a bunch of little buck bass, maybe 1 yr old? She got 13 on a 4" senko, I got 5 on a 5". They clearly like the smaller bait. This pond has had issues... low water levels and due to being along side a rural road, poachers are fishing out the bluegill. This is part of a group of farm ponds, I think we're going to try and relocate some of these small bass to other ponds on the property that are more closely monitored. Anyway, a fun morning of fishing!

Kerr Lake, 5/3-5/26
We got away for a short break at the lake. Temps are warming, but it's been very windy. Water temps are now around 65°f. Debbie was relaxing on the boat, and I was working on fishing gear.

Kerr Lake, April 12-15 '26
Wow... best lake trip this year, so far! The water temp isn't up to 'swimming temp' yet, but it was just over 70°F by noon on the 14th. We did a bit of fishing, hung out at a few beaches, got a good bit of riding in, and had the first grill cookout of the year. Yes!!! Here's a few pics and videos...
Stopped by Dad's old dock space and saw new owner moved a dock in with a top.
