Debbie and I decided to run over to the Moccasin Creek bridge on hwy 97, today, and see if the Black Crappie were active. We've had good luck in that area in cold weather. Here's a few pics from today...

Moccasin Creek, 12-13-18

I've been sick as a coot, but had to make a run into town and couldn't resist myself. So, I popped over to Moccasin Creek, where hwy 97 crosses over, on the east side of Zebulon. In about 30 minutes, with a Beetle Spine and micro rig, I caught these guys. I sent the pics to Debbie, and she was wishing she was there fishing, too!

Barrett's Farm ponds, 11-27-18

Debbie and I bundled up, loaded the Jon Boat and gear, and headed over to Barrett's Farm ponds, today. We were looking for Black Crappie, and found some. My darned phone was about dead, so I didn't do very good on pics...but here's this...

Secret Pond, 11-7-18

Debbie and I went over to a private spot we call the Secret Pond today. The bite wasn't as good as usual...it was windy, it was very muddy, and we'd had a lot of rain. No matter, we caught fish and had a great time. Here's a few pics...
