Did a bit of fishing at Tarpley's Pond after lunch today, in the rain. The bite was touch, temps cold, and the river was nasty...flow was high, water backed up and really pushing the dam...

We headed back to Tarpley's Pond (we call is SnoBalls) after lunch, today. We've been catching a bunch of Crappie and Chain Pickerel, so we thought we're try it again! Here's a few pics...

Tarpley's Pond, 1-23-18

We did a bit of fishing over at Tarpley's Pond (we call it SnoBalls) on Little River in Wendell today. Pretty decent bite, caught Bluegill, Black Crappie, and a Chain Pickerel! Here's a few pics...

Moccasin Creek, 1-22-18

Brandon and I went over to Moccasin Creek today after lunch to fish a while. It was overcast and a bit chilly, but I managed to catch a few things...including this 2lb 8oz Chain Pickerel...

Murdock's, 1-21-18

We popped over to Murdock's today for a few minutes, and Debbie caught a few bluegill. Here's a couple of pics i took of them...

Falls Lake

Falls Lake

Falls Lake is a large body of water with several landings, lots of fish, and covering several counties. We like to use the landings off Creedmore Rd (hwy 50), Upper Barton (Six Forks rd), and Ledge Rock. I'll snap a few general pics to put here.

Private Spot, Murdock's

Murdock's is a neat private pond that we have access to, on the north side of Zebulon. It has mostly Bluegill & Black Crappie, some pretty big. We've caught several Black Crappie in the 2+ pound range, along with Catfish and Warmouth. 

Below are some pics of our buddy, Murdock, the guy this place is named after. He became very fond of Debbie, and this is one of the few places she will go by herself... Murdock guards her the whole time she fishes at that spot :-)
